How to Apply Pietra Focata

Tools Required

Stainless steel trowel (American or finishing)
Roto-orbital sander with dust extraction
Abrasive discs (320 → 600 → 800 → 3000 → 6000 grit)
Microfibre cloth
Flex polisher with lambswool pad
YIELD 4-5m2 per L per coat

Step-by-Step Application Guide for Pietra Focata

1. Surface Preparation

Ensure the base coat is dry and stable.
Wait 12 hours after base coat application before applying Pietra Focata.

2. First Coat

Apply Pietra Focata Neutral with a stainless steel trowel in multiple directions to create movement and texture. Drying time: 4–6 hours

3. Second Coat – Metallic Layer

Mix: 1 kg Pietra Focata Neutral + 0.5 kg Metal 3D Powder Apply with stainless steel trowel following desired pattern. Allow to dry 12 hours.

4. Sanding Process

Using a roto-orbital sander with suction, sand progressively: 320 → 600 → 800 → 3000 → 6000 grit

Step-by-Step Application Guide for Pietra Focata and infinito carrara

Special processes can be carried out to make Infinito Carrara a unique decorative effect, such as for example with PIETRA FOCATA.

To achieve this effect, spread the infinito carrara with a Stilsaw trowel for the thickness and smooth the product when it is still wet working it with the stainless steel trowel, placing the blade flat to create a "natural marble" effect.

Compact the excess ridges without closing the drawing created. Fill the various holes with PIETRA FOCATA to obtain a white colored nuance, or PIETRA FOCATA with the addition of metal powder to obtain metallic nuances;

Let it dry for about 24 hours and sand the wall with a orbital sander with grits (320 - 600 - 800 - 3000 and 6000 trizact) protect with MANTRA PROTEX.
